my friend just notified my that she got genital warts and thought it was from this guy that we had both had sex with. she told me to get checked to make sure i didnt have it or to get it treated. i was wondering if there was anywhere to get examined for stds where a parent doesnt have to be present because i dont want my parents to find out? for instance does plan parenthood do examinations?

Yes, PP does offer those services. Also, there are shots to prevent this, so if you’re negative, please get the shots.

I know planned parenthood would help you out but I don’t know if they require parents to be present. It could be a state law on whether or not a parent has to be present.
Definitely Planned Parenthood. You could also check your phonebook for the local health department. I’d be sure to tell them you think you were exposed to genital warts to get the right test for it.
Have a cervical PAP test done at your doctor or health centre. This test is able to detect cell changes from the cervix that indicate the presence of HPV (Human Papiloma Virus) some strains of which are linked to cancers of the cervix. A general internet search for HPV will give you a large amount of information.
sorry you have it but you need to get counseling from a your church group!
