how long does tea tree oil make your skin tingle?

i have a vaginal yeast infection diagnosed by a dr and i applied organic 100% grade australian tea tree oil diluted with witch hazel (it says to do so on the bottle) and applied it to my vulva, well it stopped the itching for the most part (i feel like it itches up there but im too sore to apply it over there) i read that tea tree oil is a natural antifungal. i feel great! the tingle however is a bit overwelming and strange. how long does the tingle last?
