I have a wart on the finger, and my friend said that if I keep duct tape on it for 2 weeks it will suffocate it and it will go away, is that true?

I have used duct tape, but not just by itself, so I don’t know how much the tape itself contributed. But I put just a little tiny piece of a cotton ball in the middle of a strip of duct tape and put a drop or two of apple cider vinegar on it. Then I wrapped the tape around the finger. It ends up kind of looking like a band aid. Every day remove it and put on a new one with another couple of drops of apple cider vinegar. After a day or two, it will start to hurt – that’s good, cuz you know the vinegar is working. It does hurt and will take 2 or 3 weeks, and it will look really weird, but it will suddenly shrink like crazy and go completely away. I’ve done this a couple times, although 6 months or so later the wart grew back.
