Does duct tape really get rid of plantars warts?

My 4 year old has a plantars wart on her foot...we've tried the liquid nitrogen...which is very painful...and it keeps coming back. I've been told that putting duct tape on it will get rid of it. Does anyone know if...how...or why duct tape would work?

I never heard of that method. My daughter had one when she was about 6. We got salicylic(sp?) acid sheets from the pharmacy – it did not require a prescription at the time anyway. daily for about 4-5 months we worked on the bugger and finally got it all.
It was time consuming, but it worked and gave my kid and I a chance to chat and relax together.
