I heard that you can tape a piece of garlic on top of your mole and it will make it fall off...has anyone else heard this to be true, or know it from personal experience? If not maybe you can tell me of other home remedies that work for removing a mole because I've been considering surgery but i'm just not brave enough for it

No. It won’t work. You’ll just smell like garlic.
Never heard of this but cashew extract will make moles disappear. Apply it, cover it for several days, and it’s gone. According to a nutritionist/skin care professional I know.
Don’t be silly! First, it won’t work. Second, you shouldn’t do it. The mole is the first indicator that both you and a dermatologist look to inorder to see if you have skin cancer. The mole changes shapes and colors and has irregular boarders if it is cancer. If your dermatologist looks at the mole and is confident that it is not cancer, then you can have it removed by the dermatologist. Because it is not needed (i.e., it is not cancer or cancerous), then you will have to pay for the procedure (i.e. it is not covered by insurance). The procedure is totally painless. They numb the area and in less than 10 minutes, it’s gone. If the mole is in an area that really bothers you (i.e., your face, or another area that you see all the time), then it is worth it to go thru the procedure. Just make sure your dermaologist knows you want to minimize any scare from the removal. This way he/she can give you creams to use after the procedure that will minimize any scaring later.
Good Luck!
