My boyfriend had a few small bumps on the area near his pubic bone, not on his penis. He had them there for a few years so i suggested that he have them checked out. He went to the doctor and they said that he has genital warts. He been treating them with a liquid acid. My question is, When are they most contagious? I have not gotten any genital warts and we've been together for 8 yrs now. I get a pap every year and none have been abnormal. Do I have hpv now?
Where should I make an appointment? I am a male and I have good health insurance so I would like to use it.

I already got rid about half of it with a sharp knife, I have steady hands. The bulk of it in the middle is gone, now I need to do away with the outer perimeter of it. What tools would be most helpful? Im thinking a VERY sharp scissors will do the trick.

If a guy who has been diagnosed with genital warts has been taking medication and getting treated for this condition has sex with a female, are the chances of the female getting genital warts from him lower due to him being treated? I do realize it's a highly contagious virus but just wondering what the chances of contracting it are.
